Job Description

Main responsibilities:

Strategy and direction:

Participate in the development of the partnership and advocacy strategy in France.
Work with management to enhance the added value of Save the Children in the country.
Optimizing opportunities with the French government and other key partners.
Analyze market trends, partner priorities and challenges to align funding and advocacy with government priorities.
Contribute to the updating of key strategic documents (financing plan, stakeholder mapping, indicator monitoring tools, etc.).
Institutional commitment and influence:

Develop and maintain relationships with institutional stakeholders in the fields of development and humanitarian aid in France.
Coordinate the implementation of the action plan for influence/advocacy towards institutional actors, in accordance with Save the Children’s 2025-2027 strategy.
Participate in multilateral advocacy efforts involving the French government.
Represent Save the Children at events and meetings supported by the French government.
Improve the visibility of Save the Children among French institutions by sharing information on our activities and advocacy actions.
Funding and programs:

Contribute to the strategy for mobilizing institutional resources.
Analyze the financing mechanisms of French institutional donors.
Work with country offices and management to position Save the Children for funding.
Support the development of projects in collaboration with Save the Children members.
Internal and peer engagement:

Mobilize internal stakeholders in support of initiatives carried out in France.
Establish relationships with counterparts in France (NGOs, UN agencies, influence groups).
Represent Save the Children at events or working groups with partners and advocacy collectives.
